DXING IN ANDAMAN ISLANDS

I went on a holiday and had no intension to listen to Radio and so did happened. Though I knew I had least chances still I carried my Tecsun PL-600 portable receiver with me. I got least time 

for that as we were moving from here to there. But on the second day (19^th December, 2012) we went to a beach called Wandoor which is located at the south of Andaman Islands and while sitting at the beach tried to tune my radio and the reception was excellent without any outdoor antenna, but my radio battery betrayed me. On 21^st December, 2012 in Dolphin Resort at Havelock Island where 
we stay one night, I had opportunity to listen to some stations in the evening. Two places, I will recommend for good DXing in the Andamans, will be Wandoor Beach which is 17 kms from Port Blair and Dolphin Resort at Havelock Islands where I connected my portable radio and was amazed to hear the quality of few MW and SW stations. Specially Lao National Radio on 6130 kHz with 55555 rating. If a long wire antenna can be put up and with a good receiver it would be amaizing.
