Viper Island is worthwhile to see the sobering remains of the ochre-coloured brick jail and the gallows built by the British in 1867. The formidable name comes from a wrecked 19th-century British trading ship nearby.

The Island derives its name from the vessel ‘Viper’ in which Lt. Archibald Blair came to the Islands in 1768 with the purpose of establishing a Penal Settlement. The vessel, it is believed, met with an accident and its wreckage was abandoned near the Island. Gallows built on top of a hillock, visible to all prisoners in the Island, signified death. Sher Ali, the Pathan, guilty of murdering Lord Mayao, was condemned to death and hanged at Viper Island.

This island offers beautiful sandy beaches and lush green forest. Island compaing at Radha Nagar is a real exposure to the unpolluted nature for an environment lover. Connected by boat from Port Blair.

Havelock Island (often just Havelock for short) with an area of some 92 sq.Km is the largest of the islands which comprise Ritchie's Archipelago, a chain of islands to the east of Great Andaman in the Andaman Islands. The island population is comprised of Bengali settlers.

Radha Nagar Beach situated 12kms from Havelock's ferry pier is undoubtedly one of the beat beaches of Andaman Islands. Fine white sand, turquoise blue waters and a lot of peace and serenity are the hallmark of this beautiful landmass. The water at the beach is of exceptional quality as there is almost not turbidity and wave action. It is not a huge island to explore. An overall length of 2 kms and width of 30-40 meters is all that it extends to.

Vijayanagar Beach is also one of the very sought after islands on Havelock, situated on the east coast region. Apart from the sparkling waters and white sand, there are many things that set the beach apart. There are rocky sections on the beach which one might occasionally bump into. The beach line is a perfect setting for a quiet beach walk.

Also known as 'Haathi Tapu'; the Hindi version of Elephant Beach. Weird name isn't it? Well, the island derives its name from the walks that the elephants of Havelock have been known to take around this region. Though there is everything same about elephant beach, there are small intricacies that set it apart from others.
